I find it very easy, and so should everyone, to rise about the level of Manc scumbags who mock the victims of Hillsborough by doing the decent thing and mourning the Munich dead. Don't forget that Matt Busby played for us! And don't sink to their level! We are better than that.

Well done you.

making political capital out of the dead is just wrong.

I'm very glad that a Liverpool fan site has the balls to do this.

It makes me feel better about being an LFC fan to know that we can sympathise given our own loss, rather than do the party line of 'eye for an eye'.

Dear Editor.
I too would like to extend my condolences to those who lost there lives on what should have been a glorious occassion for Man United.
Showing dignity and class in times like this is what seperates us from animals, i must confess as a young kid i would be right up there with the rest mocking 'United' fans for there despair, but much like everything else in life we evolve and learn from our mistakes ( except fat birds from the 'Grafton' never could stay away from them. The turning point for Liverpool fans was when Bob Paisley died and we hoped that nobody would mock us like we had done to them for years B4, i guess what i am trying to say is that when human lives are lost the rules change, While i never expected "Hug a Manc day' to be approved we should all spare a thought for families who have and still suffer as a result of that infamous day. Liverpoll fans, Especially Liverpool fans know the heartache of losing loved ones at what appeared to be just another dayuntil tragedy struck. YNWA Red's fans and take the high ground when remembering the dead regardless of where they are from.
Signed, a humbled Liverpool fan.

as a kid in the early 70s I remember seeing Munich written on a wall by were I lived. This was b4 shanks died. It seems to me that Liverpool fans must have started this vile taunting and manu fans responded when they had a target (shanks dying, and sheffield).

It's only a game of football ffs.

I tread the path of King and Ghandi.

The haunted look on Bobby Charltons face when he talks about why he survived when others died was the same look I saw on my fathers face when he talked about his friends who died in WW2.

Lets be nice to each other
