An objective match report
can be found elsewhere I’m sure.
Frankly, Liverpool fans for once have the same opinion as England fans (rugby that is). They don’t care how they win so long as come the big matches, they win.
If we’d drawn against an increasingly tiring 10 men, many knives would’ve been sharpened for Benitez for withdrawing Gerrard with some minutes to go. In a derby match, an 80% Gerrard is worth a 110% Arbeloa. I was not alone in being mystified.
But last minute penalties? Doesn’t happen to us. Oh, unless of course you mean last minute goals… Hi there Gary Mac.
All credit to Kuyt, otherwise we were poor and ok in equal measures. But as I say, who cares tonight.
DVD’s in a week in the Everton shop David? No, didn’t think so. Get it right up you Andy Gray.

Wrong, instead of talking about sharpening knives for Rafa, at least credit him with the sub, it wasn’t Gerrard for Arbeloa, he put on Lucas for Gerrard AND IT WORKED, Lucas would have scored a last miunte winner in a Derby debut, had it not been for Neville’s handball (for which he was sent off). We are still unbeaten in the league at least try to be posotive. The tone of the article smacks of the sort of mentality that wanted rid of Sven from the England job, we all know what happened there. Rafa is the right man for LFC, shame fools like you can’t see what he could achieve for the club.
Alas David - you have me wrong. I’m not calling for any criticism of our manager, I was merely pointing out that that decision would’ve been the main moaning point for those fans who can’t enjoy a derby win, IF we’d drawn or lost the match that’s all. - Hinesy

Spot on!
These games are ALL about the result and we got it.
Question: when they’ve moved out of the city will it still be ‘the’ derby or will it become just another ‘big club’ versus ’small club’ non-event? Oh how we’ll laugh!

I agree, Results are important. We need to start playing with more tempo. It will come give it time. When Man utd won the league last season they were really jammy with last minute goals (o shea at Anfield). Lets take it as a sign!!
